We think our products are pretty good but you don’t need to take our word for it, here’s what our American friends say about them
New and Improved
A more versatile, “deluxe” version of the standard Liquidator. With separate pulley housings it is easier to mount on curved and odd-shape tank roofs, amongst congested pipework. An important feature is that the mechanical parts are fully enclosed, making it insect-proof and protected from the elements – rain, hail, snow, dust.
Note: The guide tube (which may be round or square) is not supplied with the Liquidator but can be readily obtained from hardware or plumbing supply stores.
Features
How it Works
True Reading
The indicator matches the level exactly. What you see is what you have. Graduations can be marked on or beside the guide tube for accurate measurement.
Visibility
100 metres plus, day or night, thanks to the reflective red band.
Simple Installation
In each case mounting can usually be carried out using simple tools. Small holes only need to be drilled in the tank roof. (The only part inside the tank is the float which can be passed through the manhole). Next to the manhole is easiest but it can be mounted anywhere on the tank roof. There is no need to enter the tank, and it doesn’t matter if the tank is full or empty.
Insect Proof
All moving parts are fully enclosed, and the only point of entry is where the indicator cord emerges. But, tucked up underneath the pulley housing, the cord passes through a close fitting floating grommet, making bit impossible for insects to enter.
Weatherproof
For the same reasons Liquidator 2 is dust and weatherproof too. To be completely sure, silicone rubber should be used at the time of installation to eliminate any gaps so that the gauge is fully sealed against the elements – rain, hail, snow, or dust.
Compatible With
Tank Type
Concrete, fibreglass, plastic, timber, corrugated steel, steel panels, round, oval, or square, Liquidator 2 will fit them all.
Tank Sizes
Liquidator 2, as supplied, is suitable for tanks up to 3 metres (10′) high, any diameter. Longer cords can be supplied as an option enabling Liquidator 2 to be fitted to taller tanks (up to 9 metres (30′) high).
Chemicals
The only part in contact with the liquid is the polyethylene float. Hence Liquidator 2 is compatible with a wide range of liquids: fertiliser, waste water, molasses, acids, wine, olive oil, chemicals, oils, etc.. And of course, plain water.
Specifications
Separate Pulley Housings
Liquidator 2 is supplied as a compact assembly, ready to mount on the tank roof close to the edge. But the the pulley housings can easily be separated and joined by a horizontal length of pipe. This allows the float to be located well away from the edge, or high up on the apex of the tank roof, if desired.
Adaptable to Roof Shapes
Steep roofs up to 45 degrees can easily be accommodated, thanks to the pivoted pulley housing. And the base of the pulley housing can be readily shaped to match roofs with ribs or bulges that are common to plastic tanks nowadays.
Guide Pipe
As the name implies Liquidator 2 is designed to suit 2″ round pipe which is a common size worldwide, readily available from hardware stores and plumbing supplies in either plastic or thin wall metal. Square tubes too, either 2″ square thin wall galvanised or aluminium, or the slightly smaller 50 mm square tube
Options
A number of optional extras are available:
- Longer cords (for tanks up to 9 metres (30′) high)
- Stainless steel wire
- Brass pulleys
- Mounting bracket for open top tanks
Why choose Liquidator 2?
Similar to the Liquidator but more versatile as it provides more mounting options and is weather and insect proof, and hence is slightly more expensive. Like the Levetator and original Liquidator, it is true reading as the indicator matches the water level exactly.
The Liquidator 2 is also approved for contact with drinking water to AS/NZS4020:2018
